Q235B, Q345B and Q355B differ in composition, use and characteristics as follows:

Composition: The composition of Q235B is mainly silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, carbon and other elements, while the composition of Q345B and Q355B adds vanadium, titanium, niobium, magnesium and other elements on this basis, making their composition different.
Application: Q235B is suitable for general structures, such as Bridges, buildings, pipelines, etc., and can also be used as low carbon steel for carburizing, ammoniating and other treatment. Q345B is suitable for manufacturing construction Bridges, important warehouses, vehicles, agricultural machinery, large steel structures, Marine engineering, etc., its application range is more extensive than Q235B. The Q355B is suitable for the manufacture of ships, boilers, pressure vessels, electricity, etc., and is often used in the manufacture of various machinery and equipment.

Characteristics: Q235B has good welding performance and low temperature toughness, and its strength and hardness are low. Q345B has good low temperature toughness, high yield strength and tensile strength, and high elongation and section shrinkage. Q355B has higher strength and hardness, but less toughness.
